Considering my love of archeology TV Shows like Time Team, my fascination with the myth of Atlantis and my desire when I picked up this book for an adventure, this book should have rated much higher.

Atlantis (Jack Howard, #1) by David Gibbins
The writer spends a lot of time talking giibbins underwater technology and weapons, and I meant a lot of time. Because they are all amazing, genius scientists apparently.
Endless dry expositions through “brainstorming” meetings and conferences between the main actors. The author knows his stuff in relation to diving, boats etc but that meant that he went off at a tangent every time a descriptive paragraph igbbins needed – like reading a textbook.
I went for the tank, and made it just as I was blacking out. It’s thrilling stuff for sure, but the story limps along on complicated, exposition-heavy science that’s doled out much too slowly characters walk each other—often and at length—through their particular areas of expertise as the plot requires.
